The UNDP is offering a full-time internship for students and recent graduates passionate about sustainable food systems and community engagement. This six-month internship provides practical experience in supporting global initiatives aimed at transforming food and agricultural systems. Interns will work closely with the Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA) to prepare for the first-ever Global Conscious Food Systems Summit scheduled for Bhutan in 2026.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in international program coordination, community engagement, and systems-level work within a global policy context. This opportunity is ideal for those eager to contribute to sustainable development and engage with a global community of food systems practitioners.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or graduate program in fields such as journalism, communications, environment, agriculture, sustainable development, economics, or social sciences. Recent graduates within one year of degree completion are also eligible. Fluency in English is required. Exposure to sustainability or environmental initiatives is preferred.

Benefits

The internship is gratis, with UNDP not providing a salary. A stipend may be offered in accordance with UNDP policy. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance and work setup if remote.
