Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2015 for Mid-Career Professionals (Professional Development in the UK)
Commonwealth Professional Fellowships offer mid-career professionals from developing Commonwealth countries the chance to enhance their skills through a professional development program in the UK. The fellowship lasts between one to six months and focuses on practical relevance in various fields such as agriculture, education, and public health.
Fellows will work with UK host organizations, gaining valuable experience that they can apply back home. The program emphasizes the dissemination of knowledge and skills acquired during the fellowship, ensuring a lasting impact in the fellow's home country.
Eligibility
Candidates must be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British protected persons, permanently residing in a developing Commonwealth country. They should have at least five years of relevant work experience and must not have undertaken a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the last five years. Academics can apply but only for programs related to academic management, not research.
Benefits
Each fellowship covers return economy airfare, a monthly living allowance (£1,563 or £1,938 in London), an arrival allowance, and a contribution to the host organization’s costs. Additional fees for conferences or short courses may also be covered.
