
Cullman Center Fellowship 2026 for Scholars and Writers ($90,000 Stipend)
The Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers Fellowship is a prestigious nine-month residential program designed to support advanced research and creative work. Located at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in Manhattan, this fellowship offers selected scholars, writers, translators, journalists, and artists the opportunity to work full-time in an intensive research environment.
Each year, approximately 15 fellows are chosen from a diverse pool of international applicants. The fellowship emphasizes deep archival research, requiring full-time residency at the Cullman Center, and provides a $90,000 stipend, a private office, and access to the NYPL’s extensive resources.
Eligibility
Open to international candidates proficient in English, with a focus on established or advanced professionals working on independent projects. Applicants must not be pursuing degree requirements or dissertation-related research.
