The Developing Excellence in Leadership and Genetics Training for Malaria Elimination in sub-Saharan Africa (DELGEME) program is offering fellowships for MSc, PhD, and Post-Doctoral training. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of African scientists in genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics to support malaria elimination efforts in the region.

Fellowships will be hosted at various African institutions, providing candidates with the opportunity to develop research proposals that address critical gaps in malaria genetics and molecular epidemiology. The program is designed to enrich the pool of African scientists with relevant expertise, leveraging big genetics and genomics data.

Eligibility

Candidates must be nationals of PDNA member countries and must collaborate with at least one PDNA member institution. Applicants should enroll in an MSc or PhD program at an appropriate Graduate School within Africa. Preliminary approval for enrollment is desirable at the time of application.

Benefits

MSc fellowships up to £26,000 for 2 years, PhD fellowships up to £63,000 for 3 years, and Post-doctoral fellowships up to £120,000 for 3 years, covering stipends, research costs, and training-related expenses.
