Disability Rights Fund Opens 2026 Grant Round for Africa
The Disability Rights Fund (DRF) is launching its 2026 grant round aimed at supporting organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) across Sub-Saharan Africa. This initiative addresses the critical funding challenges faced by OPDs, enabling them to advocate for the rights of millions. The grant round will offer various funding streams, including small grants for local OPDs and larger grants for coalitions, fostering a more inclusive approach to disability rights advocacy.
This opportunity is significant as it not only provides financial support but also emphasizes the importance of disability-led governance in the decision-making process. By prioritizing organisations led by persons with disabilities, DRF ensures that the voices of those most affected by disability rights issues are heard and acted upon.
