
EJN Biodiversity Fellowships 2026 for Journalists from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (Fully Funded)
The EJN Biodiversity Fellowships provide an opportunity for journalists from low- and middle-income countries to cover the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP17) in Yerevan, Armenia. This fellowship aims to enhance reporting on biodiversity issues and ensure that critical findings and decisions are communicated effectively to wider audiences.
Fellows will receive comprehensive support, including travel logistics, accommodation, meals, and medical insurance. They will also benefit from pre-conference workshops and resources to prepare for their reporting at the event.
Eligibility
Applicants must be professional journalists from low- or middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank. They should have experience in reporting on biodiversity issues, be available to travel to Yerevan for the conference, and possess a good command of English. A letter of support from a media outlet is required, along with relevant work samples.
Benefits
Covers economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals, travel medical insurance, and ground transportation. Visa costs will be reimbursed.
