Fall 2027 Legal Fellowship for Law Graduates (Paid, Hybrid Location)
The Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center invites rising third-year law students and recent graduates to apply for the Fall 2027 Legal Fellowship. This opportunity allows selected applicants to work closely with MJC attorneys to develop proposals for public interest law fellowships, gaining invaluable experience in civil rights litigation and social justice advocacy.
Fellows will engage in various legal tasks, including case development, legal research, and client outreach, while being supervised by experienced attorneys. This fellowship not only supports the work of MJC but also facilitates professional growth for recent law graduates passionate about public interest law.
Eligibility
Applicants must be rising third-year law students or recent law school graduates with a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school. A demonstrated interest in public interest, social justice, and civil rights is essential. Candidates should be committed to cultural competence and inclusive practices.
Benefits
Fellows will be paid $70,000 annually, with a requirement to secure at least $50,000 of external funding. MJC will supplement funding if necessary.
