
FAO Internship 2026 for Recent Graduates (Paid, International Opportunity)
The FAO Internship 2026 offers a paid international internship for students and recent graduates in a United Nations environment. Interns can work at FAO headquarters in Rome or at other duty stations worldwide, gaining hands-on experience in food security, agriculture, sustainability, and international development.
This structured professional experience allows interns to build practical skills while contributing to real projects, with a monthly stipend of up to approximately USD 700 and medical coverage for service-incurred conditions.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of an FAO member country, aged between 21 and 30 at the start of the internship. They should be enrolled in or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree, and possess working knowledge of at least one FAO language: English, French, or Spanish. A degree from an institution listed in the World Higher Education Database (WHED) is also required.
