FAO Internship Programme 2026 for Young Africans (Paid)
The FAO Internship Programme offers a unique opportunity for young Africans to gain practical work experience in fields related to food security and agriculture. Interns will contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO's mission to achieve better production, nutrition, and environmental sustainability.
This programme is designed for young professionals who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, while also receiving a monthly stipend to support their participation.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Aged between 21 and 30
- Enrolled in or recent graduates of an undergraduate or graduate degree programme from an accredited institution
- Nationals of FAO Member countries
- Proficient in at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish)
- Adaptable to an international multicultural environment.
Qualified female applicants, nationals from under-represented countries, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Interns receive a monthly stipend if not sponsored by their universities or other entities.
