
France Marianne Initiative 2026 for Human Rights Advocates (Fully Funded)
The France Marianne Initiative offers an 18-week fellowship for human rights defenders from around the world. This fully funded program provides a unique opportunity for advocates working in challenging environments to enhance their skills, build networks, and engage in professional development in France. Participants will benefit from specialized training, mentorship, and access to international human rights networks, fostering resilience and well-being in their advocacy work.
Initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron, this fellowship aims to support those dedicated to civil and political rights, women's rights, and environmental justice, among other critical issues. The program not only focuses on immediate professional growth but also emphasizes long-term impacts on human rights advocacy.
Eligibility
This fellowship is open to international human rights advocates who have a documented history of community-based work in human rights. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to defending civil and political rights, women's rights, minority rights, and other relevant issues. Supporting documentation, such as project reports and references, is required.
Benefits
