
Funded Traineeship for Young Graduates at the EU Delegation to African Union
This opportunity is for young graduates interested in international relations and the workings of a diplomatic mission. The traineeship offers a chance to learn about the EU's representation of its interests and values in partnership with the African Union. The position is based in Ethiopia and lasts up to 6 months, starting tentatively on 1st May 2026.
As a trainee, you will engage in various tasks including communication and visibility work, research on political issues, and support in organizing events. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to significant EU-AU initiatives.
Eligibility
Applicants must be young graduates with a Master’s degree in political science, international relations, economics, law, or other social studies. Candidates must have less than one year of professional experience after graduation and must currently reside in Ethiopia. Fluency in English and excellent analytical and communication skills are required.
Benefits
Selected trainees will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel, visa, insurance, and accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
