Future of Work Reporting Fellowship 2026/2027 for U.S.-Based Journalists ($5,000 Funded)

The Future of Work Reporting Fellowship 2026–2027 is designed to empower early- and mid-career journalists to produce in-depth reporting on how education systems, workforce development, and emerging technologies are reshaping economic opportunities across the United States. This fellowship provides financial support, resources, and mentorship to uncover the real stories behind economic transformation.

With a focus on localized, human-centered reporting, the fellowship aims to highlight the lived experiences of workers and communities navigating economic change, addressing critical questions about the impact of large-scale investments and policy decisions.

The fellowship is open to print, online, digital, radio, television, and multimedia journalists who are based in the United States. Independent and freelance journalists are also encouraged to apply.

Selected fellows will receive a $5,000 stipend and an additional expense budget to support reporting activities.
