GEF Small Grants Programme CSO Challenge Program 2026 for Civil Society Organizations (Up to $300,000 Funding)
The GEF Small Grants Programme CSO Challenge Program is designed to support civil society organizations (CSOs) in addressing critical environmental challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss. This program offers grants of up to USD $300,000 to help organizations scale proven environmental solutions and expand their impact. Selected organizations will also receive technical assistance, capacity-building opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
This initiative recognizes the vital role that CSOs play in environmental conservation and sustainable development, aiming to amplify their efforts by providing larger grants and comprehensive support for successful projects.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must be legally registered Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with legal status in their country and a bank account in the organization’s name. The initiative must be located in an eligible GEF Recipient Country, specifically in the Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia (EECCA) region.
