German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) 2027 for Applicants from 50 Countries
The International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program offers approximately 120 politically and socially active young university graduates from up to 50 countries the opportunity to learn about Germany’s parliamentary system in-depth. This five-month fellowship includes a three-month placement in the office of a Member of Parliament, providing hands-on experience in civic and parliamentary training.
This program is ideal for graduates from any academic discipline who have a strong interest in politics, democracy, and civic engagement. Participants will gain valuable insights into the workings of the German political system while enhancing their professional skills.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of one of the participating countries (approx. 50 nations across Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas).
- Be under 30 years old at the start of the programme (March 2027).
- Hold a university degree (Bachelor’s or higher).
- Demonstrate social or political engagement.
- Have very good German language skills (minimum B2 level).
