The NPGH LEADERs Global Health Fellowship offers doctoral students, medical graduates, and early-career researchers a unique opportunity to gain international research experience while collaborating with leading global health experts. This year-long fellowship emphasizes full-time research training and professional development in global health, allowing participants to conduct impactful research under the guidance of experienced mentors from U.S. consortium universities and international partner institutions.

Fellows will receive financial support for approved research activities, mentorship, and the chance to build long-term research collaborations while addressing pressing healthcare challenges worldwide.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens and researchers from selected partner countries such as Cameroon, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, and Uganda. Predoctoral applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program and have completed at least one year of study, while postdoctoral applicants must hold a doctoral degree earned within the past six years. All applicants must secure both a U.S.-based mentor and an international mentor before applying.

Benefits

Funding support includes up to US$7,500 for predoctoral fellows and up to US$10,000 for postdoctoral fellows for approved research activities.
