
Graduate Education Programme – National Bank of Slovakia (12-month full-time programme)
The Graduate Education Programme (GEP) at the National Bank of Slovakia is a selective 12-month programme designed to develop the next generation of central banking professionals. It combines advanced academic training with hands-on experience through policy-relevant projects at NBS.
Participants gain academic preparation, professional mentorship, exposure to real central bank projects, and opportunities to connect with the European Central Bank network, providing a strong pathway to a career in central banking and finance.
Eligibility
We welcome applications from candidates of all ages and academic backgrounds who demonstrate strong analytical skills and a passion for central banking. Successful applicants will have:
- A master’s degree (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) in Economics, Finance, or a related field. Candidates in the final stages of completing their degree are also encouraged to apply. STEM degrees are fully considered, especially for those with strong quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in quantitative methods, statistics, econometrics, or mathematical modelling, as evidenced by academic transcripts.
- Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
Benefits
Participants receive a monthly gross salary of 1,500 EUR.
