The Griots Fellowship 2026 is designed for emerging leaders aged 25–45 who are passionate about storytelling and cultural expression. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for writers, filmmakers, podcasters, visual artists, musicians, and cultural practitioners to develop their narrative skills and share their stories rooted in their communities.

Participants will engage in workshops focused on narrative strategy, media production ethics, and platform building, culminating in a TED-style talk. The theme for the 2026 cohort is 'Stories that will Define our Future.'

Eligibility

Open to emerging leaders aged 25–45 from anywhere in Africa. Applicants should be writers, artists, filmmakers, cultural practitioners, and storytellers with a commitment to sharing their stories.
