Humboldt Research Fellowships 2017-2018 for International Researchers (Monthly Stipend)

The Humboldt Research Fellowships offer up to 500 opportunities for experienced researchers to conduct long-term research projects (6-18 months) at research institutions in Germany. This fellowship allows scholars to choose their own research topics and academic hosts, providing flexibility in their research endeavors.

With a monthly stipend of 3,150 EUR, the fellowship also includes additional benefits such as travel allowances, family support, and funding for language courses, making it an attractive option for international researchers seeking to advance their academic careers.

Applicants must hold a doctorate or a comparable academic degree completed less than twelve years prior to application. Those without a doctorate may apply up to 16 years after completing a Master's or Diploma degree if their publication record is commensurate with their career stage. Proficiency in German or English is required depending on the research field.

Deadline: Applications may be sent at any time; however, complete applications should be submitted at least four to seven months ahead of the prospective selection date.
