IJP Middle East Programme 2026 for Journalists (5,000 Euro Stipend)
The IJP Middle East Programme offers a unique opportunity for journalists from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel to engage in a two-month fellowship in Germany. This program fosters dialogue between media outlets in conflict-affected regions and their German counterparts, enhancing understanding of political issues and cultural exchanges.
Participants will receive a grant of 5,000 Euro to cover travel and living expenses, along with a two-week intensive German language course. The fellowship begins with an introductory conference in Berlin, followed by placements at German media outlets, allowing fellows to gain valuable experience and insights into European media practices.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, or Israel, aged between 21 and 37 years, and currently working as journalists for established media outlets.
Benefits
Each fellow receives a grant of 5,000 Euro to cover travel, board, and lodging expenses. Additional costs may be incurred by the fellows.
