Immigration Legal Team Intern Fall 2026 for Students in the US (Remote Option)

The Immigration Legal Team Intern position at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with U.S. immigration law while supporting newly arrived refugees and immigrants. Interns will assist immigration staff in providing essential services, including adjustment of status and citizenship applications, while gaining hands-on experience in client case management.

This internship is designed for individuals passionate about helping immigrants and refugees. Interns will develop problem-solving and client service skills, and learn to manage client cases effectively within established deadlines.

Applicants must be based in the U.S. and enrolled in or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last two years. A minimum commitment of 15 hours per week is required, with a preference for those who can work 35+ hours. Candidates should have studies in social sciences, international relations, or a related field, and must be native Spanish speakers.
