
Industrial Futures Talent Initiative (IFTI) 2026/2027 for Young Professionals (Paid Opportunity)
The Industrial Futures Talent Initiative (IFTI) is a prestigious 24-month early-career programme designed for young professionals from underrepresented countries. Participants will work at UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable industrial development and international cooperation.
This initiative aims to strengthen UNIDO's global talent pipeline by increasing diversity and empowering young professionals, particularly from the Global South. Selected candidates will serve as Project Associates, contributing to various projects and gaining valuable insights into global development systems.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Aged between 23 and 28 years at the time of application
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Have at least two years of relevant work experience
- Fluent in English (knowledge of another UN language is an advantage)
- Nationals of eligible UNIDO Member States, primarily from underrepresented regions.
Benefits
Participants receive a monthly salary of €4,000, an air travel allowance for economy-class travel to and from Vienna, and a 50% subsidy for medical insurance.
