Kākano Fund Award Round One 2026
The Kākano Fund Award invites applications from graduate students enrolled in a BA Hons, MA, or PhD in Social or Cultural Anthropology at a New Zealand University. This fund supports eligible students with thesis and conference costs, providing crucial financial assistance to help them complete their academic work.
Students applying for Round One must have their final submission date between 1 April 2026 and 30 September 2026. PhD students can apply twice, with each application in a different round, ensuring they have the support needed throughout their research journey.
Eligibility
Open to graduate students enrolled in a BA Hons, MA, or PhD program in Social or Cultural Anthropology at a New Zealand University. Applicants must have their final submission date within the specified period for their respective programs.
