Kwame Karikari Fact-checking and OSINT Fellowship 2026 for journalists
The 2026 Kwame Karikari Fact-checking and OSINT Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for full-time journalists from West Africa to enhance their skills in combating misinformation. This three-month intensive program provides hands-on training in fact-checking and open-source intelligence (OSINT), equipping participants with the tools necessary to become leaders in their communities.
Fellows will benefit from mentorship, practical training, and the chance to publish their work, thereby making a significant impact in the fight against information disorder. This fellowship not only aims to develop individual skills but also to strengthen newsroom capacities across the region.
Eligibility
Applicants must be full-time journalists from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, or The Gambia. The fellowship is open to fact-checkers, investigative journalists, and those with a passion for truth. Female journalists and journalists with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous fellows of the Kwame Karikari fellowship with an interest in OSINT are also eligible.
