Letná škola občianskej vedy 2026 for Researchers and Students (Engagement in Science)
The Letná škola občianskej vedy (Summer School of Citizen Science) invites researchers, students, educators, and practitioners from cultural heritage institutions to engage in public involvement in research. Taking place from September 7 to 11, 2026, at the SAV Congress Centre in Smolenice, this event will showcase various forms of citizen science and provide practical insights into project implementation in Central Europe.
Participants will enjoy lectures, presentations from project representatives, and hands-on activities, including an excursion and the opportunity to create a model citizen science project with feedback. This is a unique chance to collaborate with active researchers and institutions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Eligibility
Open to students, researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in public engagement in research activities. Beginners and those with prior experience in citizen science are welcome.
Benefits
Participation fee is 150 EUR, covering meals and accommodation at the SAV Congress Centre in Smolenice.
