Mastercard Foundation Associates Program
The Mastercard Foundation Associates Program offers paid internships for young African graduates to develop their skills in leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship. Since its inception in 2023, over 1,000 young individuals from 22 countries have participated in this transformative experience.
This program not only facilitates a meaningful career transition but also promotes the inclusion of young women, persons with disabilities, refugees, and internally displaced individuals. Participants will gain practical experience, mentorship from experts, and access to professional networks and career opportunities.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Recent graduates with 0 to 2 years of professional experience.
- Alumni of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program or other Foundation programs.
- Located in various regions of Africa (Anglophone, Francophone, East Africa, Southern Africa).

The program provides a 12-month paid internship in a partner organization in Africa, along with mentorship and support for career transition post-internship.
