
Mastercard Foundation Associates Program 2026 for Nigeria, West Africa
The Mastercard Foundation Associates Program is now open to Nigerians and young people across English-speaking West African countries who are ready to build meaningful careers. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering structured, real-world experience that prepares participants for long-term professional success.
Participants will benefit from a 12-month paid internship, hands-on work experience, training in leadership and entrepreneurship, access to mentorship, and career transition support. The program emphasizes equity and inclusion, providing special consideration for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Refugees or Displaced Persons (RDPs).
Eligibility
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 34 years old
- Hold at least a diploma or first-degree qualification
- Be currently unemployed or underemployed
- Reside in an African country
- Be an alumnus of a Mastercard Foundation-supported programme
- Have completed mandatory national service (where applicable)
