Mastercard Foundation Program 2026 for Youth in Nigeria & Tanzania (Economic Opportunities)
The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Michigan State University, is offering a $13 million program aimed at improving economic opportunities for youth in the agrifood sector. This initiative seeks to empower 15,000 young individuals in Nigeria and Tanzania by providing access to employment and entrepreneurship in sectors such as horticulture, aquaculture, poultry, cassava, and oilseed.
This program is a response to the growing demand for fresh produce and high-quality proteins in sub-Saharan Africa, driven by urbanization and changing consumer preferences. By participating, youth can gain valuable skills and opportunities in a rapidly expanding industry.
