New East Africa Funding Opportunity
HEI is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity, RFIQ 26-1: Air Pollution and Health Effects Research in East Africa. This initiative seeks to identify promising air pollution and health studies conducted by qualified research teams in East Africa, which includes Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
HEI intends to fund 2-3 studies with budgets between USD 50,000–75,000 each, based on the quality of research proposals and the potential impact of findings. The study duration will be 1–2.5 years, including time for the final report. This funding opportunity is crucial for advancing research on air pollution and its health effects in the region.
Eligibility
Submissions must be led by investigators with primary institutional affiliation in East Africa. This opportunity is open to research teams from the following countries: Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Benefits
Funding covers research budgets between USD 50,000–75,000 for selected studies.
