The New Frontiers of Conflict Research initiative by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) invites organizations, universities, and research institutions to submit concept notes for innovative research addressing global conflict trends. Selected projects will receive funding between £0 and £200,000, focusing on pressing conflict-related challenges in priority regions such as the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Eligibility
Eligible applicants include legally registered organizations such as universities, research institutes, think tanks, and non-profit organizations. Individual researchers cannot apply independently but may participate in research teams led by eligible organizations. Proposals are particularly encouraged from organizations in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) and those demonstrating diversity and inclusion.
