New OceanX Education Fellowship Invests in Ocean Science Careers and Expands Ocean Literacy
The Ocean Futures Fellowship is a new initiative aimed at expanding ocean literacy and empowering the next generation of ocean innovators. This program connects early-career professionals with collaborative educational projects and mentorship opportunities, focusing on the intersection of science and emerging media. Fellows will engage in real-world projects and culminate their experience with a capstone project.
This full-time, remote fellowship lasts six months and offers a monthly stipend. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to work alongside OceanX researchers and ocean experts, gaining valuable insights into ocean science and conservation while contributing to impactful storytelling.
Eligibility
Applicants must be early-career professionals with a Bachelor's degree in marine biology, climate or environmental sciences, journalism or media studies, AI and machine learning, nonprofit management, finance, or related fields. The fellowship is open to individuals excited to translate ocean science into story-driven solutions.
Benefits
Fellows receive a monthly stipend and may have the opportunity to travel aboard the OceanXplorer vessel for firsthand research observation.
