
Open Call: BIO+IA Early Adopters Programme seeks innovative projects in Latin America and the Caribbean
The BELLA II Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence (BIO+IA) Testbed Early Adopters Programme invites research, innovation, and technology development teams from Latin America and the Caribbean to apply. This initiative promotes projects that utilize artificial intelligence to analyze molecular interaction networks, providing selected teams with free access to specialized technological infrastructure, training, and technical mentoring.
Participants will work for eight weeks using the BIO+IA Testbed, designed to process large volumes of scientific information with advanced AI tools. Teams will receive support to apply these capabilities to their projects, culminating in a regional Demo Day to present their results and share lessons learned.
Eligibility
Open to universities, research centres, university hospitals, biotech start-ups, academic spin-offs, scientific groups, and innovation ecosystem actors linked to the life sciences in Latin America and the Caribbean. Teams must include at least one member affiliated with an institution part of a National Research and Education Network (NREN) in the region.
