PhD Fellowship 2024 for African Students (Fully Funded)
The PhD Fellowship in the Non-Profit Sector’s Contribution to African Economies invites young African doctoral students to engage in impactful research. This program focuses on the role of non-profit organizations in creating dignified and fulfilling work for youth across Africa. Selected fellows will receive comprehensive support for up to five years, with a scholarship of up to $30,000 per year.
This fellowship is designed for full-time PhD students enrolled in African universities, emphasizing research on the contributions of the non-profit sector to African economies. Successful applicants will collaborate with experienced researchers and focus on themes of youth marginality, including gender, disability, and geography.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Currently enrolled as full-time students in a relevant doctoral program at an African university.
- Under 35 years of age.
- In the first or second year of their PhD program.
- Nationals of the following countries: Burkina Faso, DRC, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
- Interested in the non-profit sector’s contributions to dignified and fulfilling work for African youth.
Benefits
Each fellow receives a scholarship of up to $30,000 per year for a maximum of five years.
