
PRRI Public Fellows 2026/2027 for Mid-Career Scholars (With Stipend)
The PRRI Public Fellows program seeks a diverse cohort of 9 scholars to engage in research areas such as Pluralism and Democracy, Immigration and American Society, and LGBTQ Rights and Gender Politics. This 11-month, non-residential fellowship is designed for mid-career scholars who aim to bring academic research to a broader public audience and generate impactful commentary at the intersection of religion, culture, and politics.
Fellows receive a $5,000 stipend, access to course release funds up to $10,000 for the spring 2027 semester, and up to $10,000 in microgrant funding for collaborative research. Additionally, they participate in an expenses-paid, in-person convening in Washington, D.C.
Eligibility
Mid-career scholars interested in public engagement and research in the areas of religion, culture, and politics. Applicants should have relevant academic backgrounds and a commitment to impactful public scholarship.
