Schmidt Science Fellows 2027 for Doctoral Researchers (Stipend: $110,000 per year)
The Schmidt Science Fellows Program supports outstanding doctoral researchers in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, and computing. This fellowship encourages candidates to pivot away from their PhD discipline and pursue interdisciplinary postdoctoral research while receiving leadership and innovation training at leading institutions worldwide.
Fellows will benefit from a stipend of $110,000 per year for up to two years, along with participation in the Science Leadership Program and the annual Interdisciplinary Science Summit.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold or expect to complete a PhD between May 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027. They should be committed to interdisciplinary science and able to start the fellowship in July or October 2027. Candidates must also demonstrate intellectual curiosity, collaborative spirit, and global ambitions.
