Summer School on Managing Africa’s Extractive Future 2026 for Anglophone African Professionals (Full & Partial Funding Available)
The Summer School on Managing Africa’s Extractive Future 2026 is an immersive training program taking place from 18 August to 28 August 2026 in Accra, Ghana. It aims to bring together professionals and changemakers across Anglophone Africa to strengthen governance in the extractive and energy sectors during a critical era of global energy transition. Participants will engage in high-level discussions and practical sessions on the evolving dynamics of Africa’s extractive industries.
This program offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into sustainable governance, environmental and social governance (ESG), and strategies for resource mobilization. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available for selected applicants, making this an accessible opportunity for those committed to driving change in Africa's energy landscape.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of an Anglophone African country, hold a role in an institution related to extractives, energy, governance, media, academia, or parliament, and have at least three years of relevant professional experience. Strong written and spoken English skills are required.
Benefits
Full scholarships cover tuition, meals, and local transportation. Partial scholarships are also available. Standard participation fee is USD 2,500, which includes tuition, accommodation, meals, and local transportation.
