The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) is accepting applications for its 2026 Entrepreneurship Programme, aimed at empowering African entrepreneurs. This initiative offers financial support and a comprehensive package to help founders build sustainable businesses that contribute to local economic resilience. TEF has invested over $100 million since its inception, impacting over 20,000 entrepreneurs across Africa.

Participants will receive non-refundable seed capital of $5,000, access to world-class business training, expert mentorship, and networking opportunities. This programme is designed to foster economic growth in Africa through the Africapitalism philosophy, which emphasizes the role of private sector success in driving development.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be:

  • A citizen or legal resident of any African country.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Operating a business that is in its early stages (maximum age of 5 years).
  • Your business idea must be registered and primarily operating in an African country.
  • Open to all business sectors, including tech, services, manufacturing, agriculture, and health.

Benefits

Selected entrepreneurs will receive a non-refundable seed capital of $5,000 to invest in their business.
