
Tony Elumelu Foundation Announces 2026 Cohort of 3,200 Entrepreneurs Across Africa
The Tony Elumelu Foundation has announced its 2026 cohort of entrepreneurs, selecting 3,200 young business owners from 54 African countries under its $16 million seed funding programme. This initiative marks a significant milestone in promoting entrepreneurship-led development across the continent.
The programme emphasizes inclusion, innovation, and sector diversity, with 51% of the selected entrepreneurs being women and 30% from rural communities. Each entrepreneur will receive a $5,000 seed grant, along with 12 weeks of training, mentorship, and business development support through the foundation’s digital platform, TEFConnect.
Eligibility
Open to young entrepreneurs from 54 African countries. Applicants should demonstrate a viable business idea and a commitment to entrepreneurship.
