The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has announced the selection of seven North African entrepreneurs as part of its 2026 cohort. This initiative is aimed at empowering young African entrepreneurs by providing them with essential resources to build their businesses. Each selected entrepreneur will receive USD 5,000 in non-refundable seed capital, access to world-class business management training, one-on-one mentorship, and entry into a powerful network of investors and fellow entrepreneurs.

This year's cohort is particularly notable as 51% of the selected entrepreneurs are women, highlighting the foundation's commitment to supporting female entrepreneurs. The selection process was rigorous, with over 265,000 applications received from across 54 African countries, demonstrating the high level of competition and the merit-based nature of the selection.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to young entrepreneurs from North African countries, specifically Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt. Applicants should demonstrate a viable business idea and the potential to address community needs.
