TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2026
The TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2026 offers a prestigious opportunity for researchers from developing countries to pursue advanced scientific training in India. Designed to strengthen global scientific capacity, the programme supports scholars aiming to undertake PhD-level research in cutting-edge fields of science and technology.
This fellowship enables selected candidates to conduct research in CSIR laboratories and institutes in India for a duration of up to four years, combining academic excellence with international collaboration to build sustainable research ecosystems across the Global South.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 35 years or younger by 31 December of the application year
- Be a national of a developing country (excluding India)
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field
- Be employed and engaged in research in their home country
- Provide an official acceptance letter from a CSIR institution
- Demonstrate proficiency in English
- Commit to returning to their home country after completion.
