TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2026 for Developing Country Scholars (Monthly Stipend)
The TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme is a collaborative initiative aimed at supporting talented scholars from developing countries who wish to undertake PhD-level research in advanced fields of science and technology at CSIR laboratories in India. This fellowship offers two categories: the Sandwich Fellowship for those already enrolled in a PhD program and the Full-Time Fellowship for those not yet registered.
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, meals, and health insurance, along with additional academic and research-related benefits during their fellowship period.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of a developing country other than India, not exceed 35 years of age as of 31 December 2026, hold a Master’s degree in Science or Technology, and be regularly employed in their home country. They must also obtain admission from a CSIR laboratory and provide an official acceptance letter.
Benefits
Monthly stipend for living expenses, meals, health insurance, and subsidised accommodation at the host CSIR institution.
