UGO Fellowship 2026 for Africans in Green Economy (Leadership Development)

The UGO Fellowship Programme is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort, aimed at young Africans passionate about leadership and sustainable development in the green economy. This three-month intensive program focuses on building ethical, innovative, and impact-driven leaders across the continent through a blend of academic learning and practical engagement.

Participants will explore key areas such as personal development, ethical leadership, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability. A unique aspect of the fellowship includes a cross-border exchange experience, allowing fellows to engage with diverse cultures and broaden their global perspectives.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be citizens of Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, or Zimbabwe.
• Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.
• Be currently enrolled in a university program related to sustainability or the green economy.
• Have a minimum academic average of 60%.
• Not have traveled outside their country of birth.
• Be willing to travel locally and internationally.
• Have no criminal record.
• Be available for the full duration of the program.
• Demonstrate a disadvantaged background (supported by affidavit or letter from a traditional authority).
• Have access to a digital device and reliable internet connection.
