
UGO Fellowship Programme 2026 for African Students (Leadership Development)
The UGO Fellowship Programme is a Pan-African leadership development initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of ethical and innovative leaders within the green economy. This three-month fellowship offers an immersive learning journey that equips participants with essential personal and professional competencies to lead in complex development contexts. Fellows engage in thematic areas such as social entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and community development, while also participating in cross-border exchanges to enhance their understanding of diverse African cultures and leadership models.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, or Zimbabwe, aged between 18 and 30. They should be enrolled in a tertiary institution studying a course related to sustainability or the green economy, with a minimum academic average of 60%. Applicants must have never traveled outside their country of birth, be willing to travel, have no criminal record, and demonstrate a disadvantaged background. Access to a digital device and reliable internet is also required.
