The UN Chemicals and Waste Management Program 2026 is a fully funded international training program held in Geneva. It offers up to 5 scholarships for youth, students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals interested in environmental policy and sustainability. Participants will engage in live UN negotiations and workshops with international experts, enhancing their understanding of global environmental policymaking.

This program runs from 13 to 17 July 2026, as part of a broader initiative from June to July 2026. Participants will receive a UNITAR Certificate of Completion and have their travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Aged 18 to 35 years
  • From developing countries, Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), or Indigenous communities
  • Available for the full duration of the program from June to July 2026
  • Interested in environmental policy, chemicals and waste management, public health, or sustainability.
