The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a specialized United Nations agency focused on eradicating rural poverty and hunger. The IFAD Internship Programme offers a unique six-month learning experience for recent university graduates or students specializing in relevant areas. Interns will gain valuable insights into agricultural productivity and rural income enhancement while contributing to IFAD's mission.

This internship provides mentorship, learning, and growth opportunities in a dynamic global environment. Interns will receive a monthly stipend, and those in the Enhanced Internship Programme may also receive housing and travel allowances.

Eligibility

Candidates must be 30 years old or younger and must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a university or graduate school, have attended courses in the last 12 months, and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
  • Have recently completed university studies at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other IFAD official languages is an asset.
