Upwell 2026 for Ocean Innovation Startups ($20,000 Funding)

Upwell 2026 is a unique venture program designed for ocean innovation startups, focusing on real-world deployment rather than just theoretical validation. This program connects founders with industry partners and provides funding opportunities to help transition from prototype to pilot.

Selected participants will gain access to industry-aligned use cases, direct connections with decision-makers, and up to $20,000 in catalytic funding to support their pilot projects. The program aims to address the challenges faced by startups in the blue economy, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Open to startups that have moved beyond the idea stage and are ready for real-world testing. No revenue or prior pilot partner required. Individuals and pre-incorporated teams can apply. Prior accelerator participation or funding is allowed.

Up to $20,000 in catalytic funding for selected startups. Travel costs for program activities are covered.
