Urban Studies Foundation International Fellowship 2026 for Global South Scholars (Fully Funded)
The Urban Studies Foundation International Fellowship 2026 is a prestigious opportunity for early- to mid-career researchers from the Global South. This fully funded fellowship allows scholars to transform their existing research into high-impact academic publications while collaborating internationally. It aims to address the imbalance in global knowledge production by supporting underrepresented scholars and promoting diverse perspectives in urban policy and research.
Fellows will receive comprehensive financial support covering accommodation, living expenses, round-trip travel costs, and additional funding for mentorship activities. The fellowship duration ranges from 3 to 9 months, during which fellows will focus on writing outputs and engaging with a host institution.
Eligibility
Applicants must be early-to-mid-career researchers from the Global South, hold a PhD obtained within the last 10 years, and be affiliated with a recognized research institution. They must also have completed primary research and be ready to write and publish their findings. Eligible countries include those on the OECD DAC ODA recipient list.
