The Visegrad Fellowships 2026–2027 offer short-term, fully funded research opportunities for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers across Central Europe. This program supports academic mobility, collaboration, and research development within the Visegrad region, allowing scholars to conduct research, deliver lectures, or collaborate with institutions in neighboring countries.

With a funding structure of up to €5,000, the fellowship is designed for flexibility and impact, making it ideal for short, focused academic work. It provides valuable opportunities to build international collaborations and gain academic exposure in Central Europe.

Eligibility

Applicants must be citizens and residents of one of the eligible countries: Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, or Ukraine. They should be enrolled in a PhD program or hold a doctoral degree, conduct research in a different Visegrad country, and have a clear research plan and host institution. Participation in person is required, with remote participation allowed only in exceptional cases.

Benefits

The fellowship offers €500 per week, with total funding up to €5,000 for a duration of 2 to 10 weeks. Funds can be used for travel, accommodation, and daily expenses.
