West Africa Democracy Fund (WADF) 2026 Application Cycle
The West Africa Democracy Fund (WADF) invites eligible organizations to apply for funding aimed at strengthening democratic governance across key West African countries. This initiative supports innovative efforts that improve governance outcomes through inclusive dialogue and enhanced citizen participation. Organizations working at a regional level are also encouraged to apply, even if not based in the listed countries.
Eligibility
Eligible organizations must be legally registered and operating in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, or Togo, or at a regional level. They should demonstrate experience in governance, democracy, or civic engagement, and have managed budgets similar to the requested funding level.
Benefits
Funding is available across three categories: Small grants (minimum of $50,000), Medium grants (up to $250,000), and Large grants (up to $500,000).
