The William A. Zoghbi Global Research Initiative aims to advance cardiovascular science globally by supporting early-stage and mid-career investigators. This program serves as a strategic platform for innovative research that improves cardiovascular health outcomes, particularly in underserved regions and under-resourced healthcare systems.

The initiative offers structured financial support for one-year research projects across various areas of cardiovascular medicine, including heart failure and cardiometabolic health. Selected projects are expected to contribute meaningful evidence that can influence clinical practice and health policy.

Eligibility

Open to cardiovascular clinical investigators residing outside the United States, with preference for applicants from low- and middle-income countries. Eligible candidates must be affiliated as either ACC International Fellows, ACC International Associates, or individuals who have completed the ACC Certified Cardiovascular Knowledge Examination (CCKE). Preference is given to those with 5-10 years of post-training clinical research experience.

Benefits

Each award is valued at $25,000, supporting research execution, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.
