The Young Trade Leaders Geneva program integrates youth perspectives into multilateral trade frameworks, supporting global targets for inclusive economic participation. This initiative empowers emerging experts to ensure that international trade policies are resilient and equitable for developing economies and marginalized communities.
Participants will engage with high-level diplomats and trade experts, promoting the benefits of global trade rules while contributing to the WTO’s mission of using trade as a tool for development.
Eligibility
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the time of application.
- Academic Interest: A documented background or strong interest in international trade, law, economics, or environmental policy.
- Communication: Professional fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French or Spanish is a significant advantage.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using social media and digital platforms for advocacy and community building.
Benefits
Monthly stipend of approximately CHF 4,000 plus travel support.
